Bet365: Risk Free Bet When You Pick A Winner At 4/1 Or More

Horse Racing

Whilst there are many places that run promotions on the bigger interest horse races and meetings, our go-to site for day-to-day betting has to be Bet365 and yes, it’s purely because of this offer: back a winner at 4/1 or more and you’ll get a risk free bet on the next race.

The promo is listed on the Bet365 website in two forms, although in reality they’re exactly the same and only differ in the races that are eligible:

  • Channel 4/1 – Their first offer applies to all horse races shown live on Channel 4, including both regular Saturday racing as well as the majority of races from the bigger festivals (Cheltenham, Aintree and so on).
  • Featured 4/1 – The second offer kicks in when there’s no racing onChannel 4 and guarantees that at least two races each day will be covered by the promotion. The chosen races are listed on the Bet365 website and usually take place in the later afternoon (but not always).

As we already mentioned, the two promotions work in the same way – back any horse on the nose in an eligible race and if it wins and has a starting price of 4/1 or more, you’ll win a risk free bet on the next race (either the next race shown on C4 or the next featured race, depending on which promo the original race came under).  The maximum value of the risk free bet is £50, but there’s no limit to the number of times you can claim in a month.

To claim your risk free bet you then need to place a wager on the relevant ‘next race’ (which may be on a different day), up to the value of your qualifying bet. If that bet wins, you walk away with your winnings in hand, and if it loses you’ll receive a full cash refund for your bet within an hour of settlement.

Because the refund is given as cash, the bonus is almost identical to a free bet where the stake isn’t returned. The key difference is that you need to have the funds available in your account to place the second bet, rather than doing it with a token.

The other difference is that because you’re placing the bet using real money rather than a bonus, it itself counts towards the same racing promotion – meaning that if your risk free bet wins and has an SP of 4/1 or more, you’ll receive another risk free bet on the next race.
