After the thrashing of the USA by Europe in last weeks Ryder Cup we now look to the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship for our golf fix which tees-off this Thursday in Scotland.
Those of you who are planning on having a cheeky flutter on the tournament will want to head to Betfred who are offering a risk free £10 in-play bet – simply place an in-play wager on any day of the tournament (which runs until Sunday) and if it loses, you’ll receive a free bet to the same value (credited on Monday). The minimum odds for this promotion are 1/2 and your qualifying bet must be a win single for £10 or more.
The tournament takes place over three courses – the Old Course at St Andrews, the Championship Course in Carnoustie and Kilbarns and follows an unusual format in that it combines both an individual pro tournament (with a whopping $5m in prizes) as well as a pro/amateur team tournament featuring match ups such as Rory McIlroy and his Father Gerry.
Other notable non-pro participants include Hugh Grant who will be partnering with the winner of last years tournament, David Howell, and Huey Lewis who will be playing with Peter Uihlein (last years runner up).
As well as actors and rock stars, there are also a number of non-golf sportsmen who will be teeing up for the tournament including Sir Ian Botham who will be playing with David Horsey and Tim Henman who is partnered up with David Lynn.
Coverage of the tournament starts at 13:00 on Thursday 2nd Ocotober on Sky Sports 4 and Sky Sports 4 HD with the full schedule as follows:
- Day 1 (Thursday 2nd October) – 13:00 Sky Sports 4
