Super Bowl XLIX is just around the corner and this massive match between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots promises to be a closely fought battle between two exceptional teams who both fully deserve their spot in the showpiece game.
Both finished the regular season with 12-4 records and whilst the Pats found the playoffs a little easier than the Seahawks – who were pushed to OT by the Packers – there is clearly very little between the two contenders. On paper it would seem that New England have the better passing game, whilst Seattle have the better running game in the sizeable shape of Marshawn Lynch. With both teams possessing very strong defence it promises to be a fascinating encounter and we can’t wait.
Both teams are hugely experienced, Seattle as defending champions while their opponents are able to boast one of the best and most experienced quarterbacks in the game. Tom Brady is a two-time Super Bowl MVP and with three rings to his name from six Super Bowl appearances he knows what this game is all about. The Pats also boast one of the game’s most successful coaches in Bill Belichick and so it is clear that Seattle face a huge test in Phoenix.
As said, both teams have great strength in their defence, with the Seahawks’ famous Legion of Boom sure to play a key role, although no doubt Brady and Belichick will have a plan to at least try to stop them. In truth this is a close game that really could go either way but whatever happens, it’s sure to be full of excitement.
If you want to bet on the game then ignoring the outright winner or handicap markets may be wise given we expect such a close battle. Instead, a bet on the first TD scorer could be a way to enhance your enjoyment of the game and maybe land a big win from a relatively small stake.
Betfred have a very good Super Bowl betting offer that means you could get a huge payout at DOUBLE or even TREBLE the odds if you back a winner in the first touchdown market.
Betfred have been running their Double Delight, Hat-Trick Heaven offer for much of the NFL season and it has already paid out numerous times so why not try and take advantage here? Place a bet on who will score the first touchdown of the Super Bowl and if your winning player then goes on to score two or three TDs you’ll get double or treble the standard odds.
If you think the Pats will pass through the Seahawks then Rob Gronkowski has to be the call at odds of 5/1 whilst if you think the defending Super Bowl champions’ running game will be key then we would strongly advise a bet on Lynch at 4/1. With 28 regular season TDs between them, these are the big players and big players could settle this game and if they do, big odds will be coming your way!
