The 2015 Cheltenham Festival takes place between the 10th and 13th March and as ever promises to be an amazing spectacle, full of excitement and drama. This is the biggest meeting on the racing calendar and there are so many top class races that even if you’ve never considered betting on the horses before we’re inclined to suggest you try something new for Cheltenham and give it a whirl.
Each day sees one Championship race that is the main highlight, although there are usually at least two other top, top class races each day, as well as two or three other races that at any other meeting would command top billing.
The four feature races are the Cheltenham Gold Cup, which is the biggest of them all and takes place on the Friday, the final day of the Festival; the World Hurdle on the third day; the Queen Mother on day two; and the Champion Hurdle on the opening day.
If you fancy a bet on any of these amazing races, or indeed any of the almost-30 races spread across the four days of action, then the Betfair Sportsbook has an offer which could help you profit.
If you place three ante post bets (bets before the full field is confirmed) of at least £10 on different Cheltenham races, Betfair will add a £10 free bet to your account to use on whatever Cheltenham race you like. You can place your three ante post bets at any odds, on whichever horses you fancy and as long as they are paid for with cash (not free bets), placed in the Sportsbook and not cashed out, your free bet will be valid to use on the 10th March (but will be added to your account just hours after you place your third qualifying bet).
One horse we would recommend placing a qualifying wager on is Willie Mullins’ French favourite Un De Sceaux, who is priced at odds of just 1/2 for the Arkle. That low odds wager should see you well on your way to your £10 freebie with very little risk, whilst we also like the look of another Mullins horse, Annie Power at similar odds in the Mares Hurdle.
Whichever horses you back you can will automatically take advantage of Betfair’s “Non Runner No Bet” promotion, which means you won’t lose out if your horse fails to race, whilst with the addition of a £10 free bet for placing just three qualifying bets you have an excellent chance of making some money thanks to the generosity of the Betfair Sportsbook.
