Football Accumulator Tips: 13th – 16th October 2018

Accumulator TipsOur excellent run of form of late was halted somewhat last week when just three of our five football accumulator betting tips landed.

Barcelona failed to beat Valencia – not helped by going 0-1 down after just two minutes, while Macclesfield continue to undermine their respectable performance data with poor results; this time losing by the odd goal to Notts County.

It’s the dreaded international break this week, so as we say at these times keep your staking steady as we simply have fewer betting options to work with.

That said, we’re still confident of coming up with the goods in this week’s football acca tips.

Fleetwood Town vs Shrewsbury Town: Shrewsbury/Draw Double Chance

Fleetwood fans mustn’t know whether they are coming and going.

They were outstanding at Doncaster on Saturday, winning 4-0, and yet that undermines a run of form on home soil which has saw them triumph in just one of six.

The Joey Barton revolution continues at pace, but the coastal outfit can seemingly be opposed in front of their own supporters.

Shrewsbury’s away form – W0 D3 L3 – looks rather tawdry on paper, but let’s look at the facts. They have travelled to Charlton, Luton, Portsmouth, Scunthorpe, Doncaster and Walsall….all sides in the top half of the table! They’ve lost just 50% of those, and conceded just seven goals in six outings.

Fleetwood are another top-half side, but their home form is anything but.

Scunthorpe United vs Peterborough United: Scunthorpe Draw No Bet

Peterborough have concede two or more goals in each of their last six league matches….a defensive apathy that makes it rather difficult for them to win matches!

We have been saying for some time that their underlying performance data is rather weaker than their results, and the 0-4 thumping at the hands of Barnsley at the weekend has been a long time coming.

If you can’t defend, you won’t find much solace in a trip to Scunthorpe; a side who average two goals per game on home soil, and who in their last six outings have put five past Charlton, three past both Rochdale and Wimbledon and two past Luton.

Crewe Alexandra vs Bury: Crewe/Draw Double Chance

Here’s a curious one. The bookies make Crewe a 12/5 underdog here – and still a princely 12/5 in the Double Chance market – despite the stats suggesting they should be nothing of the sort.

The hosts have conceded just one goal at home all season long, with a formline of W3 D1 L1.

Bury, meanwhile, have won two of six on the road with an overall goal difference of -1.

Now, these numbers only tell part of the story of course, but in terms of sheer probability siding with Crewe is the value play here.

Atletico Mineiro vs America MG: Atletico Mineiro to Win

There is a clear and decisive home field advantage in Brazilian club football, and it just so happens that Atletico Mineiro are one of the best in the country on their own patch.

They’ve won 10 of 14 on home soil, netting 28 times, and they’ve also won three on the spin in front of their own fans.

America MG aren’t up to much, and they’ve lost 10/14 on the road with a goal difference of -14. They’ve scored just one in their last five anywhere into the bargain.

Ceara vs Botafogo: Ceara/Draw Double Chance

By the time this game come around in the early hours of Tuesday morning, Ceara will have had more than a fortnight off.

That’s a nice chance for them to recharge the batteries and get injured players back fit, and the fact that they were in good nick prior to their rest bodes well. They had won four from six to dampen their relegation worries.

Ceara have avoided defeat in 10/14 on home soil this term, while Botafogo have won just two of their fourteen away dates.

The visitors have scored just eight goals from open play on the road, concede an average of two per game and have won just 3/13 anywhere since the start of August.
